SAR Training

Training on disaster response are conducted both in SAR -Training Center (SAR-TC) and outside the SAR-TC.

SAR types of trainings include:

  • VERTICAL RESCUE

The participants will receive theoretical and practical material on the tower rescue techniques to locations associated with altitude. Participants get the material functionality and usability knot rigging, the introduction of vertical rescue tools and their functions, and practice rappelling and flying fox. It is expected after the training the participants gain knowledge and skills about the good techniques in vertical rescue.

  • WATER RESCUE

The participants will receive theoretical and practical material in the water rescue techniques in water / drowning. Participants receive materials to help drowning victims, basic introduction of support tools in water rescue and its functions, and practice the technique into deep water as well as the evacuation process correctly. It is expected after the training the participants gain proper knowledge and skills about rescue techniques in water.

  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

Participants will receive theoretical and practical material on the first action needed to anticipate emergencies due to accidents on or sudden acute illness (heart attack, blockage of the airway, choking and fainting). First aid training will teach the knowledge and skills of first aid measures through the delivery of materials, modeling and simulation (cardiopulmonary resuscitation, heart massage, artificial respiration, and the handling of choking). It is expected after the training the participants gain the knowledge and ability to perform the proper first aid measures, quickly and completely.

  • SHELTER AND SANITATION

The participants will receive theoretical and practical material on how to set up emergency tents at the time of the disaster. Participants also get a sanitary material which includes seeking minimal emergency sanitation needs in disaster situations and specific activities, and develop and implement appropriate technology in emergency sanitation measures. It is expected after the training the participants gain the knowledge and ability to seek emergency sanitation in the location of emergency / disaster to reduce the risk of transmission of disease based on the environment due to lack basic sanitation.

  • PUBLIC KITCHEN

The participants will receive materials to the management of public kitchen that serves the dining needs of disaster victims (preparation logistical needs, placing the needs of logistics, administration, cleanliness, health and safety, logistics). It is expected after the training the participants gain the knowledge and ability to manage the kitchen properly.

  • DISASTER RESPONSE

The participants will receive materials about the theory and practice in the field of disaster management (disaster components, mechanisms of disaster, disaster risk management and emergency response and disaster prevention). It is expected after the training the participants gain the knowledge and ability to perform the proper first aid measures, quickly and completely.

  • FIREFIGHTINGS

The participants will receive materials in theory and practice in the field to cope with and face catastrophic fires (the introduction of fire apparatus, and procedures to handle fire emergencies). It is expected after the training the participants gain the knowledge and ability to perform actions properly fire disaster and provide aid to fire victims appropriately.
