The Sampoerna Entrepreneurship Training Center (SETC) represents PT. HM Sampoerna Tbk.’s social responsibility in the form of an integrated entrepreneurship training center intended to encourage the growth and development of micro, small and medium-sized agribusiness enterprises (MSME) and appropriate vocational technology in Indonesia.
SETC was established in March, 2007 on 27 hectares of land with a range of facilities to support entrepreneurship development, including training and meeting rooms, a tissue culture laboratory, livestock, fisheries and research areas, and lodgings. By September 2016 SETC had received around 68 thousand visitors, trained around 27 thousand people from all over Indonesia and foreign countries and assisted 3,300 MSMEs.
SETC was developed based on the Integrated Farming System and Vocational Training System concept as explained in SETC’s 5-year Master Plan, with the execution involving all related stakeholders (academics, the government, corporations and the public).
